Poison Ivy Alert

Parents - please teach your children to stay away from plants with "leaves of 3". Poison ivy is common in most Virginia wooded areas and can be found in Bridlewood's wooded areas (such as between Harness Shop Rd and the basketball court). We have no practical way to remove it. A link is shown below that you can show your children so they can learn to avoid it. The community association recommends that everyone stay out of the wooded areas.

In addition, a large amount of poison ivy is growing up through juniper bushes (large evergreens) that are between Shire Place and the power line area. Our contractor is not able to remove or spray the poison ivy without killing the bushes. Therefore the community association will be removing the bushes in the near future. Please stay away from that area.
